Paddington Tower

A 65-storey tower -  from the the creators of the Shard - has been proposed to be built on the former Sorting Office between Paddington Station and St Mary’s Hospital at 31 London Street.
Your Bayswater Councillors have been consulted on the plans for a cylindrical tower that would include 200 new homes and 50,000 square feet of office and retail space in a new “public realm” for Paddington. The project aims to coincide with the arrival of the east-to-west Crossrail scheme at Paddington in 2018, when a massive influx of passengers will make Paddington the capital’s fourth-busiest station.

Cllr Brian Connell said: “While the proposed tower is not in Bayswater, given its scale we will make sure that residents views are considered and will remain close to this significant development proposal as it progresses through the planning process.”
